Nothing has finally officially released the Nothing Phone (2), similar to the distinctive Nothing Phone (1) with programmable lights under its transparent rear glass.
The Nothing Phone 2 has a larger screen, slightly different color options, a new glyph light interface, and improved software.
Here is everything you need to know about the Nothing Phone (2).

What are the specs and features of the Nothing Phone (2)?
Nothing Phone (2) has a different design to Nothing Phone (1). But it also looks incredibly similar.
Design
The back of the Nothing Phone (2) is available in a white or grey transparent design – has virtually the same ‘glyph’ lights as the Nothing Phone (1), but now has more individual sections, including the central light ring split into six parts.
One of these has 16 different parts you can use as a countdown timer and to display other information.
Swedish House Mafia has collaborated with Nothing to provide sounds for a new ringtone composer, and you can customize app notifications with different sound and light settings.
The phone is a little larger and has curved glass on the back. There are different details as a red accent and some slightly different other sections, but you might be hard-pressed to tell this phone apart from its predecessor. Nothing is working on building a brand, so the similarities make sense at this stage.
Display
Nothing 2 has a bigger and brighter display. The front screen is a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED screen with LTPO tech to allow the rate to pare back to 1Hz to save battery life.
Nothing says the screen has 1600 nits of peak brightness, and there is a slightly thinner bezel around the outside of the flat panel for maximum display size within the frame.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is a significant upgrade here. Nothing has chosen this over the more recent 8 Gen 2 to keep the cost of the product low. Expect excellent performance.
The Sony IMX890 chipset, which powers the primary camera, is similar to the IMX766 in the Nothing Phone (1). Any camera upgrades would probably require new image processing techniques.
Nothing phone 2 has 45W charging. But there is no charger included in the package. In addition, there is 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging.
Nothing Phone (2) has better water resistance than the Nohting Phone (1) IP53 to IP54, but it is still only legally splashproof. It should not be near the bathtub.
Software
Nothing updated its software to OS 2.0 with several new functions.
It mainly refers to how the home screen looks and feels. Nothing icon pack turns all programs into monochromatic versions allowing you to change your app icons. It surpasses the Android 13 app theming, which calls for an update from developers to function.
Nothing has added new widgets like the ability to add a quick setting right on the home screen. Now you can add toggles for features like Do Not Disturb, Wi-Fi, and Hotspot next to ads and other widgets.
Other Nothing widgets for apps like Weather and Clock have a simple yet pleasant design.
Nothing has four years of security fixes supplied every two months to 2027 and three years of software updates to 2026.
